TDK Rolls Out NAND Flash IC with Higher Data Rate

TDK has developed a NAND flash controller IC intended for use in PCs and mobile devices. The company stated that its new offering, called GB Driver RA5, is capable of increasing the data transmission speed by three-folds in comparison with existing products on the market. Shipment of the controller ICs is scheduled to start in mid-June, with the company having set up a monthly production capacity of 100,000 units.
